This weekend (27th and 28th March) is our third Big Clean of 2021 and it’s going to be a good one. It’s not quite an Easter egg hunt but it’s still worth getting involved!

We know that many of you are feeling inspired after the cleaning up of the Portbury Hundred which was completed by Portishead Locals last weekend, so this Spring big clean is a great way for you to add your bit.

At the moment the weather apps are promising us a dry Saturday, but possibly a drizzly Sunday, but we know the weather won’t put you guys off from our plastic eliminating litter picking mission.

You can take part on your own, or with members of your household, all you need to do to get involved is pick up some litter (with some gloves) on your daily exercise and let us know how much you collected. We’d love it if you sent us some pictures too.

It’s a great way to help our Portishead community, get some fresh air, and feel good for your hard work.

Last month 98 people took part and collected 75 rubbish bags, we hope that this month we can do as equally great work.

We look forward to seeing you out and about and we can’t wait to see your pictures!

Please don’t forget that social distancing from those outside your household is mandatory, and please wear gloves to keep your hands safe when collecting litter.
